Hand made incorporating a 17th Century Aubusson Tapestry worked in naturally dyed wool

Finished with 18th Century Gold Metallic Tassel Fringe 

Backed with antique mohair velvet

The approx 400 year old tapestry panel has general signs of wear commensurate with age and use

FOOTNOTE All my pillows are hand made by myself incorporating wherever possible rare early textiles

I travel extensively throughout Europe to locate beautiful hard to find textiles , some of which can be up to 400 years old and of course will show evidence of this immense age

Rarely totally symmetrical , with perfectly straight lines, without wear ,evenness in colour etc

I work as best I can to retain all of this inherent quirkiness to obtain a gently time worn faded grandeur appeal that only be achieved over centuries of use
